The Power of Taste
A short film in response to the exhibition Gut Instinct: Art, Food and Feeling
We all have distinct and personal responses to food but what does our sense of taste say about our individuality? Does our reaction to certain foods stem from an emotional connection brought about by memory? During a series of blind taste tests students from Christ King Girls’ School sought to answer these questions and more!
5th year students from Christ King Girls’ Secondary School explored and responded to the exhibition ‘Gut Instinct: Art, food and feeling’ at the Glucksman in 2017. Working with teachers, artists and curators the students created a short film that looked at the themes of the exhibition.
The short film won the Best Schools Film at the 2017 First Cut Youth Film Festival.
