Colin Martin (b. 1973)

Colin Martin’s work explores the evolving relationship between humans and technology, using representational art to record and probe the digital age. Martin often refers to science fiction genres and imagined futures that have now become obsolete, depicting analogue recording equipment and modular electronic instruments. 

He has also produced large scale paintings of sites of mass human activity such as music festival encampments, vaccination hubs, big tech warehouses and the architecture of megacities, inviting us to reflect on the entwined connections between technological advancement, social progress and our planetary environment.
