Uncanny Valley II, an unsettlingly lifelike robotic child lies as if on a changing mat, but the industrial units in the background suggest this is a workspace. The title refers to the strange sensation of seeing something artificial that appears almost human. The visible brushstrokes evoke the artist’s touch and remind us of the personal hand at play in scientific as well as artistic creations.
