Cork city has undergone monumental change since 1920 and this year’s City Council commemorative events encourage us all to reflect on the transformation of life in our city. 100 Years of Change is a project from the Glucksman that brings contemporary artworks from the University Art Collection out into community spaces across the city.
From Mahon to Holyhill, Bishopstown to The Glen to Ballyphehane, the selected artworks will be on display until 31 March 2021 and explore specific themes including health, technology, and women’s rights. A series of short films featuring artists, academics and historians share insights into the artworks and historic developments in city living. You can access the films below.
