Leas at The Glucksman

A new restaurant is getting ready to officially open its doors on campus. Léa’s at the Glucksman will open on Thursday, 12 August 2023. Founded by Colm Liston, Joe Dowling and Cyprien Jouve, Léa’s is the sister restaurant of Joe’s + Bros. 

At Léa's, their aim is to create a high energy, daytime, breakfast, brunch, and lunch restaurant serving up simple, contemporary and quirky dishes to reflect the unique setting of the venue.

Cyprien Jouve said: “Since 2018, we have worked nearby UCC starting with Léa’s sister restaurant, Joes and Bros. We’ve always believed the UCC campus deserved an improved food and coffee offering on campus. At Léa’s, We aim to create an atmospheric hub for people to hang out, drink good coffee, eat better food and listen to great music. The unique space has been carefully designed to cater for small and large events, this will be something we are particularly looking forward to! But for now, we are working hard on fine tuning our offering for August 12th.”

Welcoming the opening, Professor Fiona Kearney, Director of the Glucksman, said: “We are thrilled to announce the opening of the new restaurant Léas at the Glucksman – the delicious menu, contemporary design, and welcoming culture that will be provided by Cyprien, Colm, Joe and team are a hugely important part of the Glucksman experience. We are so grateful for the support we receive from across the UCC community, and hope that people will now visit for great food as well as great art!”

Nora Geary, Corporate Secretary, Office of Corporate and Legal Affairs UCC, said: “It is great to have Lea’s at the Glucksman; the team have done a super job on the interior. It will be exciting on see them develop their new offering. A great addition to Glucksman, UCC and to Cork.”
