"The painting FRE(e) was made in 2018, and was part of a larger body of work that was looking at words that were on banners or simple signs (...). The word (free) has connotations that link with our desire to feel free coming out of the COVID lockdowns, and I hope for viewers that the artwork has a sort of optimism, or birth through fire."
