Using Japanese ink, the artist reproduces the aerial news imagery taken of worldwide political demonstrations in dense black brushstrokes. She replaces the vibrant colour photography of mass protests with monochrome mark making, drawing attention to the overall movement of crowds in city spaces even as the reason for their assembly differs in each place. The drawing Strike for Repealcaptures the many people who marched in Dublin as part of the campaign to Repeal the Eighth Amendment which outlawed abortion in Ireland.
