People and the Planet
A creative engagement project with schools and community groups
People and the Planet is an exhibition of creative installations by children working together to explore biodiversity and sustainability. The project facilitated schools, community groups and children living in Direct Provision to work with artists to develop artworks from recyclables and natural materials. Creative sessions took place in the Glucksman as well as outdoors in the University lower grounds so that children could learn about their local habitat.
The People and the Planet exhibition took place 21 November to 25 November 2018 and it included artworks created by local scouts working with children living in Drishane Castle Direct Provision centre. The integrated project brought children together to discover the diversity of nature.
