Towers and Tales Festival
The Glucksman are delighted to be back in the beautiful surroundings of Lismore Castle for Towers & Tales 2026 with a series of workshops for children.
Towers and Tales is a celebration of contemporary children’s literature and illustration, designed to give young audiences unforgettable, creative and transformational experiences with books
Maximum 15 children per workshop
Each workshop will run for approximately 50 minutes.
Pre-booked through Towers & Tales
Magical Masks (6-8 years): 10am, 12pm and 3pm
Create your very own mask in this fun, hands-on art workshop. Participants will be encouraged to take inspiration from the beautiful Lismore Castle and imagine a time when dragons, knights, princesses and princes walked the grounds. Led by our team of art facilitators, this workshop will introduce basic drawing and craft techniques.
Tales from the Castle (9-12 years): 11am and 2pm
In this creative workshop, inspired by Lismore Castle and its gardens, we invite children to create unique comic books that share tales of exciting adventures. Participants will learn illustration and book making techniques and will be invited to include collage and pop-up elements to bring their stories to life.
