Film Screening: Women's Work

Join us for the Irish premiere of Nicola Black's documentary Women's Work about internationally acclaimed artist Caroline Walker.

Women's Work is a new documentary directed by Nicola Black, about internationally acclaimed artist Caroline Walker, who explores the diverse social, economic and cultural experiences of women living in contemporary society. From female tailors to midwives, from chambermaids to migrant workers, Caroline paints the unseen, often underpaid work of women everywhere.

Several of Caroline Walker's artworks are on display in The Glucksman's current exhibition Labour of Love: Economies of Care in Contemporary Art. To close out this exhibition, we invite you to join us for the Irish premiere of Women's Work

This screening will be held at the Kane Building in University College Cork within the Film and Media Studies Auditorium. The film will last approximately 60 minutes, following which we invite you to join us back at the Glucksman to explore Walker's works in person.
