Quality of Life: A Public Conversation on Care in Contemporary Art

Featuring Danish artist Liesel Burisch and Irish artist Colin Crotty, this dedicated roundtable for Cork Midsummer Festival 2025 brings together artists and curators to discuss the ethics and representation of care in contemporary art.

This event is presented in the context of our current exhibition Labour of Love: Economies of care in contemporary art, which considers how the physical and emotional wellbeing of people is enabled in our society, and how the burden of unpaid and low paid work might be made visible through art, to focus attention on work and services that are often overlooked, undervalued and hidden from public view.

This event will be held at the Glucksman and will last approximately 90 minutes with time for discussion.

Admission Free / Suggested donation €5.
