Beneath Our Feet
Creative resources to engage with archaeology and the historic environment
Explore the Beneath Our Feet activities and start imagining what might be found far below the ground. Through class based discussions and creative exercises, inspired by artworks from the UCC Art Collection, you can unearth the role of archaeologists and how their remarkable discoveries could shape a better future for all of us.
The Glucksman teamed up with the Department of Archaeology, UCC and the Irish Peatland Archaeology Across Time (IPeAAT) project to develop these learning resources.
IPeAAT is a 2-year project, funded by the Irish Research Council COALESCE/INSTAR+ scheme, University College Cork. The project aims to collate all available information on the archaeology recovered from industrially-extracted Bord na Móna peat bogs in order to better understand and communicate how these landscapes were used in the past.
