Amelia Stein (b. 1958)

As a performing arts photographer, Amelia Stein worked in theatre and opera in Ireland from 1979-2000. In 2004, she was elected a member of the RHA, the first photographer elected as an Artist Member, and was the first female photographer elected to Aosdána in 2006. 

Her work is represented in the collections of The National Gallery of Ireland, IMMA ( Irish Museum of Modern Art ), the Arts Council of Ireland,  Butler Gallery Kilkenny, Limerick City Gallery of Art, and the OPW.
