Fashion Show presents works by Irish and international contemporary artists that look at clothing as subject matter, material, and a form of advocacy. From explorations of the ways in which fashion lends itself to self-representation to investigations into the economic and ecological effects of 'fast fashion,' the exhibition reveals how clothing becomes a means of activism and protest.
Our bi-weekly tactile tours will be fully accessible and will involve discussion, touch, and extensive visual descriptions to enable blind or partially sighted visitors to participate. The tour will incorporate approaches that have been developed as part of the museums involvement in the EU project BEAM UP (Blind Engagement in Accessible Museum Project).
Tuesdays 1 - 2 pm + Fridays 11am - 12pm.
Free events, open to all.
