Glucksman exhibition tours to Croatia
Josef and Anni Albers: Voyage inside a blind experience recently opened at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Zagreb.
The successful exhibition of Josef and Anni Albers work developed for audiences who are visually impaired was exhibited at the Glucksman from July - November 2018. The project was funded by Creative Europe and the Arts Council of Ireland, and has now continued its European tour to our Croatian partners, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb.
The works on display include Anni Albers’ hugely influential textile works, Josef Albers’ renowned Homage to the Square paintings, and a selection of his record cover designs accompanied by the original jazz music. The exhibition also includes a darkroom where visitors are invited to explore objects by touch, as well as a section that reflects on the importance of Albers’ teaching that emphasised a sense of feeling as well as seeing art.
