Noreile Breen

Our series of free lunchtime talks invites architect, Noreile Breen whose work is currently on show in Close Encounter to talk about the ideas and approaches that inform her work.

Noreile Breen studied architecture at the Dublin School of Architecture, DIT. She has worked with Atelier Bow-Wow in Japan and Steve Larkin Architects before establishing her own practice in 2016 which is based between Dublin and Kerry. Her practice is focused on creating buildings which have a rich spatial character with distinct qualities of light and rooted in the built heritage of the Irish rural landscape. 

Noreile has taught architecture at KTH Royal Institute of Technology Stockholm, Bergen School of Architecture Norway, Parsons School of Design New York, Queens University Belfast, and the School of Architecture University Limerick where she is currently a lecturer. Noreile is the recipient of a number of awards and is a registered architect with the Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland.
