The Glucksman is committed to lifelong learning in the gallery spaces and we offer regular art courses and events for adults.

Our Senior Community programme is dedicated to involving seniors in all kinds of activities in the gallery with an emphasis on social, fun and creative encounters. Through courses, tours, concerts and screenings, this programme is a reminder that art is an ongoing passion.

Drawing on Memory 

This season’s art club takes inspiration from The Parted Veil to consider ideas of remembrance and celebration. Under the guidance of artist Peter Nash, participants will learn a wide variety of drawing techniques using graphite, charcoal and pastel. Calling on memories, experiences and archival photos, seniors will develop drawings of significant moments in the history of the city or country.

6 week course for 55+

Learn drawing techniques through sketching architecture with a professional artist.

Join artist Ciara Rodgers for this course that will build your own drawing style through sketching architecture. Participants will look at different drawing techniques and methods over four sessions in a course that is suitable for beginners or those with some previous experience.
