This week we hear from Aideen Quirke, UCC Student on the MA in Museum Studies and member of the Glucksman information desk team.

What are you reading?
Just finished Cormac McCarthy 'The Crossing'. Now getting stuck into Kafka's short stories in between reading prescribed college material.

Favourite museum?
The Glucksman obviously. Followed by the British Museum.

Best performance?
Death Grips at Whelan's, Dublin.

What is your most treasured possession?
My collection of books.

What work(s) of art inspire you?
Richard Prince's paintings from the last ten years. The installations of Sarah Sze. Aideen Barry's continuing enigmatic body of work. The collection of Irish medieval treasures at the National Museum in Dublin is particularly awe-inspiring.

A lightbulb moment?
When I realised acquiring wealth does not equal success, happiness does.

Guilty pleasure?
A pint of Murphy's

What would you like to be doing right now?
I would like to have my Masters over and done with so I can plan a long relaxing holiday in a warm country.
