Tangents public seminar
5pm, Wednesday 28 September
River Room, Lewis Glucksman Gallery. Free admission. All welcome.
Tangents are public seminars exploring ideas related to the current
gallery exhibitions from a range of specialised perspectives and
viewpoints. These contextual discussions invite artists, academics,
curators and writers to provide insight into thematic issues raised in the
exhibitions. This installment of the Tangents series of discussions looks at the ways
in which architecture is used as a means of communicating language.
Through brief presentations on architectural design, spatiality and text,
participants will explore how language permeates the built environment
and how it guides and informs our experience of space.
Tangents takes place in the River Room at 5pm on Wednesday 28
September, and will be followed by a discussion and Q&A session
chaired by Chris Clarke, Curator of Education and
Collections.
Admission to Tangents is free of charge.
