From Congolese drumming to classical violins, the Glucksman's music programme is an opportunity to hear something unexpected in the visually stunning surrounds of the upper galleries. During exhibition periods, the Glucksman programmes live music in the gallery on the last Thursday of the month.

Anita Williams & Rouge are a Cork based Jazz quintet fronted by well known Cork Jazz singer Anita Williams. The band have gone from strength to strength since their formation three years ago with highlights including a sold out headline show at the Glucksman Gallery, University College Cork, resident opening act at the Cork Guinness Jazz Festival since 2008 plus regular appearance in venues around Ireland including Cork’s Pavilion and Bodega and The Button Factory, Dublin. Anita Williams & Rouge launched their debut single Take Me to the Paradiso at An Cruibin, Union Quay, Cork on Wednesday 8th June 2011. The song was written by local Cork musician K. B. Violet and produced by Martin Leahy.

Anita Williams –
Vocals Anita is a graduate of the London Academy of Music & Drama (LAMDA). She studied voice training in London under Glynn Jones and returned to Dublin to resume her training under Veronica Dunne. Anita also worked in TV and Radio working with TV3 and RTE where she was Entertainment Correspondent for Ryan Tubridy and Dave Fanning. In 2008 she returned home to Cork and formed Rouge with Gary Baus.
Gary Baus –
Saxophone Gary was born in Baltimore, USA where he learned to play the saxophone at an Arts High School. From 1998-2001 he lived in Prague, CZ, and performed with two musicians from Cork who eventually led him to move to Ireland. He has a particular penchant for 1930’s and 40’s swing jazz most notably toward the style’s of Johnny Hodges and Lester Young.
Mo O’Connor –
Guitar Mo performed throughout America for over 15 years playing a range of styles from Rock, Bluegrass and Jazz. Since his return to Cork he has become a much sought after guitarist both at home and abroad. Rouge is the perfect vehicle for Mo’s rhythm and lead guitar skills delivering the unique sultry, smooth tones. Conor McCarthy - Double Bass A graduate of Corks School of Music, Conor’s musical background is vast and is very obvious when he performs. Classically trained he adds deep bass tones to every song and plays with much vigour and warmth.
Niall Dennehy – Drums Niall who has been playing drums since the age of nine. He has played with various groups with different musical styles over the years in Cork. He has also attended a course at Berklee College of Music, Boston, MA.
