  • Internships
  • Fellowship in Curatorial Practice

INTERN OPPORTUNITIES

The Lewis Glucksman Gallery offers internships to students studying in any faculty of University College Cork. Visiting students are also welcome to apply.

The internships enable students to gain experience in the museum field and provide a valuable introduction to professional practice in the public domain. It is not necessary to have experience of art history or art making to qualify for an internship although a willingness to learn about art and communicate the Glucksman programme to the public is essential.

Glucksman Interns:

  • Welcome visitors to the gallery
  • Invigilate internationally significant exhibitions
  • Assist with the delivery of the educational programme

Glucksman Interns have the opportunity to:

  • Acquire valuable professional experience
  • Work closely with important artworks
  • Attend seminars, lunchtime and evening lectures
  • Attend exhibition previews and launches
  • Explore the possibility of conducting research or working on a specific project under the guidance of a curator

Attendance requirements

Interns are requested to commit to a specific time programme, which is agreed upon by both the intern and a member of the Glucksman team
