In Detail: Looking closely at a work of art

In Detail is a series of public conversations that focus on a single work. Inviting academic experts from different backgrounds and pairing them with a GLUCKSMAN curator, these sessions provide an opportunity to focus on a single work from an unusual perspective.

Dr James Kapalo, 1pm Tuesday 15 May
Dr James Kapalo is Lecturer in the Study of Religions at UCC. He teaches courses on Christianity in the modern world and researches and publishes on Eastern Orthodoxy in the 20th century, folk religion and
religion and politics in Eastern Europe.

Dr Manfred Schewe, 1pm Tuesday 12 June
Dr Manfred Schewe is Senior Lecturer and,since 2005, Head of the German Department at UCC. His diverse research activities focus on innovative connections between the performing arts and foreign/
second language education.

Professor Jeremy Glennon, 1pm Tuesday 26 June
Jeremy Glennon is Professor of Analytical Chemistry at UCC where his research focuses on chromatography and separation science. He is also the regional representative of the Institute of Chemistry of Ireland and associate editor of the journal Analytical Letters.
